Watch the brand new trailer below:
Coming to CW and Netflix on October 10th, the third series of Riverdale is almost upon us and A Space Oddity are here to break down the brand new promo trailer featuring brand new clips from the series!
Contains Spoilers for Series 1 & 2 of Riverdale
We begin with seeing Archie being taken away in handcuffs, presumably straight after the cliffhanger ending of Season 2 in which Archie was arrested for 'murdering the kid from Shadow Lake'.
We then see a shot of Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica embracing each other in bed, presumably this is either a flashback to before Archie's imprisonment or Archie gets out of jail pretty fast...
We then see Hiram Lodge portrayed by the wonderful Mark Consuelos who was previously seen abandoning Archie after their apparent 'partnership' within Series 2.
We also see Veronica (Camila Mendes) arguing with what looks to be a closeup of her father, Hiram, stating: "We will survive whatever you have planned because we are endgame"
The next shot is arguably the best shot of the trailer, the four travelling down the road in an incredible motor, with the hair blowing in the wind. Also in this shot are Jughead and Betty portrayed by Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart respectively.
We then see Madelaine Petsch portraying Cheryl Blossom running down a corridor alongside her girlfriend Toni Topaz who we see again shortly.
Now for the most interesting shot of the teaser (and no, not because of the abs!), Archie seems to be brandishing a South Side Serpents tattoo, has Archie joined the SSS? Or is this all part of a plan...
We then see Jughead and Betty in what looks to be a science classroom, given away by the periodic table in the background, so it seems to suggest that Riverdale High is still well and truly open for business.
We also get to see FP Jones, the father of Jughead portrayed by Skeet Ulrich and Alice Cooper (the mother of Betty) portrayed by Mädchen Amick who seem to having some fun to put it simply after their reunion with the South Side Serpents at the end of Season 2.
We then see another shot of Archie being escorted around Riverdale Prison, could he be entering his cell for the first time?
As mentioned prior, we see Toni Topaz portrayed by Vanessa Morgan, in what seems to be the same location as before when we see her running with Cheryl.
We also get to see fan-favourite character Kevin Keller portrayed by Casey Cott and Moose Mason (Cody Kearsley) who got together at the climax of Season 2 after Moose's struggles with his sexuality.
Another intriguing shot shows Archie being attacked by prison officers in some sort of containment facility, only time will tell when it comes to finding out what is happening here...
The final few shots are VERY interesting however and offer insight into what the big-bad could be this series. An individual is seen opening a book which has some devilish and disgusting drawings in featuring skeletal figures and devil-like creatures.
We then have a closeup of Betty falling/fainting to the floor- could this be after looking at what we see next:
I'll be honest, us at ASO have literally no idea what this is- but it looks creepy!
This scene is from the original Superbowl trailer which shows 2 babies being offered as some sort of sacrifice to the creature seen above, now Riverdale, we don't know what you're doing here but if I see one sacrificed baby then I'm gonna walk.
The trailer closes with Jughead screaming 'Somebody help!' while we can see some sort or ritual activity taking place around him- is this the same place where the babies are being offered up? And who is that on the floor next to him?
With news of the final series being released each week I thought it was necessary to reveal my favourite characters in the show. I am still in the middle of series 4 ,having just being introduced to Jeremiah, due to the late release date in the UK so my knowledge of the actions of the characters in the latter part of the latest season is unknown.
Cameron Monaghan's Joker inspired character is definitely my favourite in the show. He is crazy, insane and just wants to watch the world burn. He is completely unpredictable and steals the show every time he's on screen. Its a unique take on the most well known comic book villain and Cameron pulls it off superbly. He is the star of the show in my opinion. It's a shame we won't be able to get a proper face off between Jerome and Batman as it would be a spectacle that would shake the whole of Gotham.
2# Jervis Tetch aka Mad Hatter
Before Jervis Tetch starred in the show I had no love for this character whatsoever. I thought the concept of the character was silly, however ever since Benedict Samuel's first scene on Gotham in season 3 my love for the character has completely changed. Jervis is a hypnotist who can make anyone do as they please. Benedict's performance is wonderful and is charming yet devious. I love how he almost always speaks in rhyme. His main arc at the beginning of season 3 is definitely worth a watch for anyone who wants to learn about this obscure villain.
3# Ed Nigma aka The Riddler
The riddler is a character that I have always wanted to be seen done well in live action. Cory Michael Smith does this character perfectly. I wasn't a huge fan of him in season 1 (but we don't talk about season 1 shush) but from season 2 onwards he has been my favourite main character, due to the previous 2 entries having recurring roles. His development over the 4 seasons has been phenomenal going from a csi in the gcpd to becoming a fully fledged villain, his descent into madness is incredible to watch, with episodes like 'How the Riddler Got His Name' and all the episodes preceding this, how could such a great character no be on this list.
4# Alfred Pennyworth
Sean Pertwee's version of Alfred is astonishing. His care for Bruce is perfectly shown as their bond grows throughout the seasons. He does anything to protect Bruce from the dangerous of Gotham and knows what it's like out there. His days in the SAS taught him alot so he a great mentor for Bruce and someone who he can learn from. This is my second favourite characterisation of Alfred, after Michael Cain. He is everything Alfred should be and more and everyone has to love this character.
5# James Gordon
Ben Mckenzie's Jim Gordon will be iconic for years to come. He plays the incorruptible cop amazingly as he wants to prove that he can change Gotham for the better and make sure that the villains will not control everything. Whatever he does, he does become he knows it the right thing to do, he had pushed the line of the law many times ,but it was for the better he is the perfect role model for all gcpd officers and a great lead character for the show.
Thank you so much for reading my list of favourite characters. There are so many more people I could have included: Scarecrow, Penguin, Carmine Falcone, Sofia Falcone, Harvey Bullock, Bruce Wayne, Selina Kyle. Everyone in this show is amazing and I can't believe its coming to the end next season. I will definitely be covering all the major news following the upcoming season, including the fact that Bane looks like the main focus for the first half of the season. The series finale is going to be epic and a must watch and we will 100% be covering it. Until next time Space Odditer's have a good day! :)

Rumours have been circulating about Idris Elba taking up the mantle as 007 for a while now, however in the past few hours Esquire released an article stating that Bond's producers are heavily interested in Elba and looking for him to continue the saga after Daniel Craig's final outing supposedly in 2020.
The Independent, a news source revealed that "Director Antoine Fuqua revealed the details of a conversation with Bond producer Barbara Broccoli, in which she said "it is time" for a non-white actor to take on the iconic role. Fuqua discussed who might be next in the running with Broccoli, who's certain the progressive move "will happen eventually", with Idris Elba a reported frontrunner for the role."
But could Elba hold the mantle after Craig? What do you think he would bring to the table. Would he take a more gritty tone similar to that of Craig based upon his works in Luther or could we see a return to the suave, sexy Bond made famous by the originals such as Pierce Brosnan OBE and Sir Roger Moore.
Only time will tell, but what do you think?

One of the biggest questions floating around the internet at the moment is the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where will we go next? What big bad's will we face? Will there be any original cast continuing? Read on to find out some possible answers!
What we know so far:
Currently we have:
-Captain Marvel (2019)
-Avengers 4 (2019)
-Spiderman: Far From Home (2019)
However since the James Gunn & Disney debacle- which we won't discuss- 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3' is looking less likely for an imminent release while they try and work out what to do next.
But where next? Of course Avengers: 4 will be a turning point for the franchise as we may lose a number of our original Avengers, so where could we head next in the MCU?
Long been rumoured, the Black Widow solo flick has been something fans have been craving since her first appearance in Iron Man. Kevin Feige has been keen to introduce one new IP each year, and the only solo film we've even heard an inkling of is Black Widow. The movie has been rumoured for years, and it would be a good way for Marvel to balance the scales in terms of its gendered movies. A script is apparently in development so things could be looking up for our favourite secret agent.
Doctor Strange II
All female Marvel movie? Count us in. Addressing the phenomenal performances given by the likes of Tessa Thomspons (Valkyrie) in Thor: Ragnarok and the likes of Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira in Black Panther, Kevin Feige told Vulture: "It is an embarrassment of riches. Even watching the audience at the Black Panther premiere respond to Lupita, Letitia, and certainly Danai in their action sequences… you watch Danai spinning around in that casino, taking out dozens of people, and you go, “Of course you can make a whole movie about that!"
A-Force is a comic line featuring an all female line up of superheroes. The A-Force may give Marvel Studios the perfect vehicle to introduce the likes of She-Hulk and others to the MCU. While, Nico is currently featured in HULU’s Runaways, Medusa has been seen on the small screen in ABC’s Inhumans- which is now axed.
What other Marvel characters do you think could get their own independent properties? Write us a comment with your thoughts! Doctor Strange 2? Spiderman? X-Men? Give us your hopes!

I hope you are all having a webtastic National Spiderman Day! As Spiderman's rogue gallery is as extensive as Batman's today I'm going to reveal my top 5 favourite out of all of them. I could have easily placed the Sinister Six on this list however instead I have decided to do the individual villains rather than the main six as one group.
1# Venom and Carnage
I can't separate these two. I love them both for different reasons however I cannot place one above the other. These are arguably Spiderman's two greatest foes. I don't know what it is but I have a fascination with the Klyntar and the symbiotes in the Marvel universe, which is why I'm so hyped for the Venom movie coming out in October. I love carnage's brutality and ruthlessness, he is so strong that even when Venom and Spiderman team up they struggle to defeat him. I also love Venom's power and scare factor that he has about him. Everything about these two creatures is amazing and is by far my top choice.
2# Green Goblin
This is the first live action villain that Spiderman has faced. That first movie featuring Willem Dafoe as the Villain is what triggered my love for this villain. The split personality between Norman and the Goblin is amazing, especially as the Goblin takes over and wreaks havoc. Goblin tortures Spiderman both physically and psychologically and is what makes him a challenging foe as he is superior to spiderman in almost every way. The suit from that film hasn't aged with time very well. Also unfortunately the other incarnations of the villain we have had onscreen haven't been great and is probably the reason the villain doesn't get as much praise as he should.
This character was nearly placed above Green Goblin, which shows how much i like him. First off I need to mention the suit. I think it looks great, from the fish bowl to the purple cape all of it shouts mystery. His powers of illusion and hypnosis are really unique and dangerous to Spiderman and someone the webhead struggles to defeat each time he faces him. If the rumours are true and Jake Gyllenhaal is going to portray the infamous Quentin Beck he really is going to push Tom Holland's Spidey to the limits. I really hope this villain gets more appreciation with the new film as he really is an interesting character.
Doctor Curt Connors is up next as the Lizard. His appearance in The Amazing Spiderman is fantastic, and is what made me love this character. The fact that the Lizard knows exactly who Spiderman is dangerous as he can harm his personal life. Rhys Ifans did a great job portraying this villain and provided the creepy factor to the film as well. He is majorly superior to Spiderman in terms of strength and could probably knock him out with one punch. I really hope this villain becomes in the limelight again soon.
5# Doctor Octopus
This is definitely the most controversially placed villain on this list. Everyone who has watched Spiderman 2 knows what an AMAZING villain Doc Ock is and what an amazing performance Alfred Molina did. I love that movie and the villain, however as a whole I'm not as keen on the villain as everyone else. I still really like him as he's no.5 out of 153 villains (according to ComicVine) that spiderman has. That fight on the subway, and everyone who's watched the film knows exactly what I'm talking about, is one of the best Spiderman moments in cinematic history. His genius along with his huge metal arms places him high above the other villains I've not mentioned. Marvel would be silly to not include him in the MCU and have him form some sort of Sinister Six.
Thank you so much for reading!! I've missed out loads of great villains such as Vulture, Taskmaster ,and Chamaeleon. If anyone could suggest some comic book stories with these characters in we would be extremely grateful. Once again thank you so much for reading and hope you return soon!! :)
