After all the hype for this trailer, it was hard to see how any trailer could fulfill all the expectations of many fans- us included. However, Marvel gives us a trailer that is the perfect tease for whats to come (and perhaps what isn't!) with 'Avengers: Endgame'.
Let's start at the beginning. Tony (Robert Downey Jr.), on The Benatar (the Guardian's ship), drifting through space while recording a goodbye message to Pepper Potts. If that wasn't enough to set the tears flowing, the title card gets dusted away too... thanks Marvel.
The trailer then erupts as the music picks up pace and we get to see Thanos' armour looming over the fields of the planet he settled on after the so-called 'Decimation Event'. And it is great to see that this event has its repercussions.
One of our favourite shots is that of Captain America (Steve Rogers- portrayed by Chris Evans), below, shedding a single tear while speaking with Natasha about the rest of the teams fate in 'Infinity War'. It's heartbreaking to see a symbol of such hope and force be broken by the losses of his "friends and family".
We also get to see Bruce Banner return, portrayed by Mark Ruffalo, who seems to be looking at a screen showing some of the 'dusted' members of the team including Ant Man (Scott Lang- portrayed by Paul Rudd), Shuri (portrayed by Letitia Wright) and Spiderman (Peter Parker- portrayed by Tom Holland). Blimey, this trailer ain't making me feel so good.
We also see a destroyed Thor, after losing pretty much everything, contemplating what has happened in what seems to be the abandoned Avengers Headquarters.
However, easily the best shot of the trailer is Ronin, or more formally known as Hawkeye- (portrayed by Jeremy Renner) who was last seen in Captain America: Civil War in 2016. As he wipes the blood of his victims off his blades, he turns to see Black Widow as Natasha Romanova (played by Scarlett Johansson) and we see him take of his mask to reveal the worn out and battered face of Clint Barton.
And then we finally get it! The much anticipated title of Avengers 4: Endgame. Something which has been heavily rumoured for months upon end since Avengers: Infinity War was released. What do you think to the title? You can comment your thoughts below or feel free to fill out our poll!
