On June 22nd it seems as if we are going to be getting the most horror-esque "Jurassic" film to date, so without further ado, let's break down the Superbowl trailer!
We first begin with a little girl tucked up in bed, hiding behind her bed sheets as a dinosaur roams around her house and begins to linger outside her room- setting up the thrilling tone of the Jurassic World sequel. The dinosaur creepily taps on the floorboards as if to remind the girl of its presence.
As the dinosaur treads closer to the girl, so far as seeing the claws reach out and almost claw her face, we cut to the respecting producing body's logo's before we head to a scene we've seen before from Trailer 1, Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) visiting Blue, one of his Velocoraptors from the first Jurassic World film.
"Do you remember the first time you saw a dinosaur?"- Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard)
Cut to the scene of the island's active composite volcano, exploding covering the surrounding areas with tons of pyroclastic flow and tephra bombs.
We then meet Franklin portrayed by Justice Smith, who will be the face of the emotions throughout this trailer as you soon will see...
Continuing back down at the park, we see a huge dinosaur leg stomping down on the ground with Owen and Claire behind near the SUV.
"You don't really believe it"
"It's like... a miracle"
Next we have Claire and Franklin in an underground facility where it seems one of the loose dinosaurs has worked out how to climb through the tunnel and into the holding area where the pair are.
"It's not a T-Rex, it's not, it's not a T-Rex!"
Not one to shy away from a good shocked expression, it seems like Franklin may well be the comedic effect of this film- let's hope that it gets put in during the right moments.
We return to Blue many years later (seen by the removal of Owen's moustache- thankfully not a CGI removal) as Owen tries to reassure him/her/it that he's trustworthy again.
After seeing the same clip from Trailer 1 as the Gyrosphere plummets of the cliff edge after being followed by dinosaurs and lava alike, we see that Owen jumps all the way down the cliff-face and into the water in an attempt to save the inhabitants, Claire and Franklin.
"Jurassic World. The island. All of that is in the past"- Eli Mills (Rafe Spall)
Here we have Owen, Claire and Franklin running away from a huge explosion outside the park, could this be deliberate or is it merely accidental?
Although we don't know the role that the wonderful Toby Jones will be portraying in this instalment of the franchise, what we do know is that he will be incredible! Going off what we see in the trailer, it seems as if Jones will be playing a bidding leader for businesses to buy the park/it's inhabitants for money- let's see how that goes.
"I wanna show you the future"
We then return to the haunting bedroom of the little girl from the beginning of this trailer. It seems as if Owen has convinced Blue to tackle whatever creature is prowling the premises.
"What is that thing?!"
"They made it."
We then see Claire pointing a gun with it's laser attached to the chamber, as she walks through the dark and rain while the next shot shows the trio in a helicopter shining a large light onto the dinosaur ridden floor below.
And before the logo appears, we see the trio, again, calling for help from what look to be burglars of an area or at least a group that aren't so trustworthy- shown through the threat of a rifle to the 3. But before the trigger is pulled the individual gets knocked through the wall and picked up by a Pterodactyl.
And with that dramatic end to the trailer, we conclude our breakdown of every frame of the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom trailer 2.
