#1 Thor Ragnarok (2017)
My all time guilty pleasure. What a masterpiece Taika Waititi created with the fantastic Thor 3- Thor Ragnarok. By far the best out of the trilogy, this film brings a whole new side to Thor, Hulk and Loki along with creating an incredible villain, Hela which I'm sure we'll be seeing again soon. The comedic aspects of the film are perfectly timed with the wonderful Jeff Goldblum's Grand Master being a personal favourite character of mine. The whole movie is an experience and one that never gets old, the music, the style and tone are what-for me- makes it my favourite Marvel movie to date.
#2 Black Panther (2018)
Now this is how you make a cultural phenomenon. Marvel along with Kevin Feige and director, Ryan Coogler pulled out all the stops to make Black Panther the most detailed, diverse and indiscriminate comic book movie ever made. Coogler did a fantastic job at portraying Wakanda as a citadel of technological advances previously unseen by the public and audience. The world building, the character development including villains with believable motives and protagonists with flaws are what makes Black Panther arguably the most complex and intricate Marvel movie- and that's why it's my 2nd favourite.
#3 Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Perhaps one of the hardest hitting Marvel Cinematic Universe movies as of yet, Captain America Civil War certainly delivers on (most of) it's promises. We are treated to some incredible action scenes, namely the Airport Battle and final battle between Captain America and Iron Man which was a fantastic experience to witness on the silver screen. The Russo Brother's second installment of a Marvel film after the wonderful Winter Solider proved to be a masterpiece with great action intertwined with political aspects and of course great comedic moments from the likes of Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark. This film certainly is paving the way for Infinity War as the characters are going to have to work as the Avengers one final time in order to defeat the Mad Titan.
#4 Avengers (Assemble) (2012)
Joss Whedon's crossover event that changed cinematic history was by far one of the best cinematic experiences you could have... well.. experienced. Every character from the past 4 years of films are coming together to fight Loki the brother of Thor. We had Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Nick Fury- oh and Hawkeye. It was an event that shaped the way that Marvel was going and has lead to bigger bolder events since, including the upcoming Avengers 3, Infinity War. By far one of the best scenes of the movie was the 'Ring Of Avengers' scene with the bombastic score by Alan Silvestri was a spine-tingling experience.
#5 Iron Man (2008)
The one that started it all. Jon Favreau's incredible first MCU installment set the bar high for what came next. I have personally always adored Iron Man/Tony Stark, he was the very first superhero I watched and I just immediately fell in love with the character. The movie holds a special place in my nerdy heart as it was the one that begun this immense journey to Infinity War and without this, we wouldn't have what we have now. One of my favourite scenes being the very first MK-1 Version Iron Man emerging from the caves was superb and I'll always treasure it.
