Before we begin we would like to announce that we will no longer be breaking down any more of the upcoming Infinity War TV spots as we do not want anything else to be spoiled for both fans, readers of the blog and us alike as we like to keep in the dark for the films.
1) Iron Man or Captain America
Arguably the biggest two characters in the MCU. One of them is likely to die. We already know that their contracts run out at the end of Avengers 4, so it is likely that one of them is going to go. Personally I think that Captain America is going to be the one who goes as Captain America going one on one against Thanos is a big ask, which most people will not come out alive off, but which ever one it is going to be it will be the biggest death in the MCU so far and will be very emotional.
2) Star Lord
Star Lord dying will make a lot of sense. He is originally from earth and has wanted to go back since then. If he dies, he would be protecting his home planet from imminent destruction, on his first time back. This would round out his character arc throughout all 3 films he has been in. However as there is definitely going to be a Guardians 3 and, Star Lord is the leader of the guardians he is most likely going to survive.
We arrive at Loki. The original villain of the Avengers. He has been in 3 Thor films and the Avengers film. He is a fan favourite and unfortunately a likely death is on the horizon. He has betrayed both Thanos and the Avengers in the past so both sides don't like him that much. At the end of Thor Ragnarok he stole the tesseract from the vaults of Asgard and in the trailer for Infinity War we see him pass it to Thanos. We suspect that Thanos has no use of him and will tear him limb from limb.
If Captain America dies, Bucky is most likely to take up the mantel after the final fight of Civil War foreshadowed Bucky's use with the famous shield. Falcon is a side kick of Captain America so he won't be as useful to the rest of the MCU once Cap goes as this is the first film outside of the Captain America trilogy he has been in (unless you count the cameos in Avengers 2 or Antman).
The world and his dog knows by now that Hawkeye has been absent from all of the Infinity War marketing, so maybe it could be foreshadowing his larger role in phase 4 aka no role. He has tried to retire from the business of superheroing for the past 2 films he has been in, so maybe the writers have let him get the rest he deserves.
