Monday 8th January: Vin Diesel in talks for Bloodshot movie
Vin Diesel is in early talks to star in Sony's "Bloodshot" movie which is based on the valiant comic character.
Bloodshot will be produced by Neal Moritz (Known for producing all the fast and furious movies as well as being executive producer on the "Preacher" tv series).
Bloodshot was first published in 1992 and is about a mortally wounded soldier with powers of regeneration and meta morphing which is made possible through nano-machines in his bloodstream.
Tuesday 9th January: Warner Brothers announce their new film chairman.
Due to a major reorganisation in Warner Brothers, Toby Emmerich has been promoted to Chair of Warner Brothers. The president of worldwide marketing and distribution, Sue Kroll, has managed to keep her role on a three year producer deal. She has major relationships with starts such as Christopher Nolan and Tom Cruise. Also part of the shake up Blair Rich will head global theatrical and home entertainment.
Wednesday 10th January: Avengers 4 set photos reveal Caps Original Avengers costume.
There has been new Avengers 4 set photos which shows Captain America in his old Avengers outfit and it shows that he has no beard. This could suggest that there will be an element of time travel within the infinity war storyline.
Karen Gillian, who plays Nebula, has also confirmed via Instagram that she has finished filming for Infinity war parts 1 & 2.
Thursday 11th January 2018: First Venom image revealed
This is the first official image that has been revealed of Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock. According to Hardy, speaking at Brazil Comic Con " This is the San Francisco set, which as you know is where Eddie Brock is from."
Ruben Fleischer (the films director) also came out and said "our story is primarily based on the Lethal Protector and the Planet of the Symbiotes books".
Friday 12th January 2018: Black Widow movie in very early development stages
A Black Widow movie has been announced as being in very early development stages, however it yet to have an official greenlight from Marvel Studios. After meeting with various writers Kevin Feige has selected Jac Schaeffer which is great news as the Wonder Woman movie who had a female director received outstanding critic reviews and even won the 2018 critics choice award for best action movie, so lets hope the same thing will happen to the Black Widow movie. Jac Schaeffer is supposedly meeting Scarlett Johansson in February.
Saturday 13th January 2018: X Men films release date shake ups.
Deadpool 2, Gambit and New mutants have all been given new release dates
Deadpool 2 has been pushed forward from June 1 2018 to May 18th 2018, which means it is released one week before Solo: A Star Wars story is released which is strategic play by Fox.
The Gambit movie has seen its release date been pushed back from February 14th 2019 to June 7th 2019, we think this may be, because the film lost its director earlier this week as Gore Verbinski exited the movie on Thursday.
Finally New Mutants has been pushed back 10 months from April 13th 2018 to February 22nd 2019. There has been multiple rumours as to why this might have happened. One is because they want to make the movie more scary and other rumours suggest it could be reshooting so they can set up a connection to the MCU.
Sunday 14th January 2018: Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 to be released in 2020.
James Gunn has revealed via twitter that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is set to be released in 2020. Apparently Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has been contemplating a few dates: May 1, August 7, November 1. Whichever date it is doesn't matter to us as here at ASO as we are really looking forward to this film.
